Location. The Dorint Sporthotel Garmisch Partenkirchen is located at the Olympic Park Skiing Stadium, Garmisch Partenkirchen, Germany, within 15 kilometres of Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain, and four kilometres from Garmisch Partenkirchen station.
Hotel Features. Built as an Alpine style village, the Dorint Sporthotel offers views from its rustic cottages over the Wetterstein ranges. The adventure centre includes a swimming pool, Tuscan or Finnish sauna, a tepidarium, and a beauty farm with massage facilities. Wireless Internet access is complimentary, as is the garage parking, and there is also a ski shuttle from the hotel..
The Wintergarden restaurant serves local Bavarian fare with a decor of warm colours and wooden furniture. Its balcony has a panoramic view of the Alps. The Kaminbar serves drinks and snacks in front of an open fire, and a third restaurant offers Italian food. A buffet daily breakfast is complimentary, and there is also a poolside bar.
The seven meeting rooms range from the intimate to a capacity of 240 guests.
The hotel health spa offers relaxation treatments, as well as aerobics, yoga, Pilates, tennis, and swimming. Children have their own pool and a playground. Nearby, downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, horse riding, fishing, and ice skating are available. Within 150 kilometres, there are 25 golf courses. Bikes can be rented from the hotel, and there are various trails through the region.
Guestrooms. The 154 guestrooms combine living and sleeping areas with kitchenettes, in simple modern style. Bathrobes are provided, as is hypo allergenic bedding on request. Amenities include Internet connections (surcharge), satellite television, and minibars.
Expert Tip. For natural beauty, a cog railway runs from Garmisch Partenkirchen to the peak of Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany. The summit can also be reached by foot in one to two days.

From Munchen Franz Joseph Strauss Airport (MUC):
Distance to Dorint Sporthotel Garmisch Partenkirchen is 145 kilometres, approximately 90 minutes' drive.
Getting there. From Munich Airport there is an S Bahn to the main station, from which 20 trains run daily to Garminsch Partenkirchen station, four kilometres from the hotel.
Getting around. The hotel provides a ski shuttle, and the centre of town is four kilometres away.
Driving directions. From Munchen Franz Joseph Strauss, take the A95 until the Eschenlohe exit.
From there, follow signs to Garmisch Partenkirchen on the B2.
Pass by Oberau and through the Diversion tunnel in Farchant.
Follow signs to Partenkirchen.
The hotel is located on the left, just before leaving the town.
